Welcome to the Architecture Degree. Each semester, the Faculty of Architecture welcomes students from different partner universities to study at our faculty.

Would you like to study at our university for a semester?

Welcome! Each semester we welcome students to our faculty from our 19 partner faculties.

You can sign up for courses from our Bachelor or Master Degree. Most of the courses are taught in German. However, each semester we offer some design projects in the Bachelor degree program english taught. In the summer, a preparatory German course is held, regularly in Wilhelmshaven. During the semester, the Jade University of Applied Sciences offers free German courses. For more questions concerning the Language courses as well as applications and deadlines please contact your contact partner Julia Blandfort at the International Office.

In order to study at the Jade University, we recommend having at least a German language level of B1. However, if you just speak English (at least B2.2) and, until the beginning of your studies here, you prove a German language level of A2, you will be accepted as an exchange student. You are not required to submit an exam. But since only a few courses are offered in English, it is vital that you have a sufficient level of German skills.

Which courses can I choose?

In the Bachelor degree, the courses for the 1st, 3rd, and 5th semester are only available for the winter semester. The modules for the 2nd, 4th, and 6th semester are only available for the summer semester. In the Master Degree all the modules are available each semester. If you are an advanced student in a 4 or 5 year Bachelor Degree Programme you can participate in our Master Degree courses.

Our electives are open for students of bachelor and master degrees. The actual topics of the electives will be announced a week before the semester begins. The topics and tasks for the other modules will also be announced one week before the lecture period begins. Please arrange a meeting with Almut Wolff to check your learning agreement within this timeframe, to do the course assignments.
