If you are studying at the Department of Business and Society and are interested in writing a Bachelor's thesis, Master's thesis or similar in the field of business informatics/computer science under my supervision, please send me your idea for a topic by e-mail.

To qualify for supervision by me, topics must meet the following criteria:

  • The topic must be clearly related to business informatics/computer science.
  • According to the BPO/MPO, the topic must be compatible with the goal of your studies, i.e. the focus of your respective study program.
  • [Optional] Ideally, the topic should be directly related to the content listed under Research or to the subject areas of my courses.

Here are some exemplary suggestions for possible topics in the field of artificial intelligence, which you are welcome to use as a basis for your considerations:

  1. Creation of usage prompts for the use of Large Language Models in business process X of company Y.
  2. Development of system prompts for the use of Large Language Models as assistance systems for [data analysis/ER modeling/BMPN modeling/...].
  3. Configuration of a RAG-based system for the reliable use of Large Language Models as virtual tutors in the subject area XY.
  4. Prototypical implementation and evaluation of approaches for the semi-automated generation of professional web presences using Large Language Models.
