German Language Examination for University Admission (DSH)
With the DSH exam, foreign applicants prove their German language skills, which entitle them to study at a German university.
Jade University of Applied Sciences has successfully applied for the exam license and will therefore be able to offer applicants the opportunity to take the DSH exam at Jade University of Applied Sciences.
Target group
All prospective foreign students who have applied to study at the Jade University of Applied Sciences and have the necessary language skills are entitled to take the language exam at our institution.
Requirements
External (non-enrolled students of Jade University) and internal (enrolled students of Jade University) students can register for the DSH exams / DSH exam trainings.
Participation condition is a proof of German language skills at level B2.
Exam structure
The DSH examination consists of a written examination and an oral examination. The written DSH consists of 4 parts. There is an individual result for each part.
1st part: Listening comprehension
2nd part: Text production
3rd part: Reading comprehension
3rd part: Scientific language structures
The oral DSH examination can only be taken if the written part has been passed with at least 57%.
Costs
The participation fee is currently 200 € for external participants. This fee must be paid before the examination date, otherwise participation in the examination cannot take place.
Students of the Jade University of Applied Sciences pay a reduced course or examination fee (upon presentation of the certificate of enrollment).

Application will be open from Mid February 2025.
